Wellbeing and Pastoral Support

At Childwall Abbey School (C.A.S.), the wellbeing of our pupils is of paramount importance. As a community, we work together to make sure help and support are there whenever they are needed.

 

The Pastoral Team support pupils who may have barriers to their learning.  These may include – Difficulties in Social Communication, Problems with Social Interaction, Anger issues, Bereavement, Attendance, Family difficulties, Sexuality, Personal Hygiene.

  • Educational Welfare Officer (EWO) – Mrs E. Crellin
  • School Nurse – Ms K. Garrity
  • School Family Support Officer – Ms J. Cranham

 

All class groups also have a designated Pastoral Teacher and a Pastoral L.S.O.

Parents/carers who have any concerns or who feel they need advice regarding their child’s physical or mental health, safety or wellbeing are strongly encouraged to contact school, without delay, initially by telephone. The sooner we know, the sooner we can help.
