As you will be aware, there is currently a reported increase in positive Covid cases and hospitalisations across the country and specifically in the Liverpool area, mainly involving the Delta Variant. As always, we are being highly vigilant in school, in order to keep pupils, staff and all our community as safe as reasonably possible. We are extremely grateful to all parents and carers for their understanding and compliance regarding testing and isolation requirements if their child is symptomatic.
Currently, the C.A.S. Risk Assessment and Key Information for Parents/carers have not changed. We require all pupils, staff and every member of the wider school community to adhere to these. Social distancing, remaining in “bubbles” and enhanced hygiene measures are essential to keep everyone safe and well. Public Health England advice is that face coverings should be worn in communal areas and classrooms unless someone is medically or otherwise unable to do so.
We have been advised by the Local Authority as of yesterday, that no trips to indoor venues should go ahead. Consequently, our class end of year activities will all be outdoor, take place locally and be socially distanced from people outside our school “bubble”.
Please remember that Lateral Flow home testing kits are available on request from our school office info@childwallabbeyschool.net and we would encourage all parents and carers to take up this offer.
