On Friday 8th December 2023, C.A.S. is having a Christmas Jumper Day to raise funds for Save the Children’s work, in Britain and abroad. We are suggesting a £1 donation if you choose to wear a Christmas jumper instead of your Uniform jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt. Pupils who prefer to wear full uniform as usual may do so and can still make a donation if they wish. Thank you.

Wishing all our pupils, parents, carers, staff and visitors a very happy, healthy and relaxing summer holiday. Our school re-opens for pupils at normal time on the morning of 5th September 2023. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Childwall Abbey School safe and sound, ready for the new school year. Please click here for our Summer Newsletter and Key Information for Parents and Carers. Enjoy your long break!
Due to industrial action by teachers in the N.E.U., taking place on 5th July & 7th July 2023, our risk assessment shows that it will not be safe to open the school to pupils on that day. We will have insufficient numbers of staff to provide adequately for pupil safety and meet their complex needs.
Childwall Abbey School will be closed to all pupils on 5th and 7th July 2023. (Please note that this will be subject to change if industrial action is called off, in which case parents/carers will be informed by text)
School will be open to all pupils in Thursday 6th July which is also our Sports day. Weather permitting, parents/carers will be welcome to join us from 10am.
Light refreshments will be available and our Sixth form Enterprise Group will be having a sale of goods.
Thank you for your understanding.
Transition day will now be held on Thursday 6th July 2023.
Due to the latest strike days announced by members of the NEU Teachers Union, our Annual Summer Sports Day will now take place on Thursday 6th July (weather permitting!) NOT Wednesday 5th July as previously advertised.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Please note the letter to parents and carers from Liverpool City Council, regarding the Schools Summer Holiday Programme. This support is open to the families of all pupils eligible for benefits-related free school meals. The letter can be accessed via this link.
Summer half-term break is here. Many thanks for all your support over the past few weeks. It was great to welcome Year 8 parents and carers to their recent coffee morning. Our Year 11s are coming to the end of their exams and coursework. Not long to go now. Keep up the good work everyone!
When we come back to school on Monday 5th June 2023, we will be very busy as we head towards the summer holidays.
