    Fri 22 May 2020

The situation at Childwall Abbey School, due to COVID-19 social distancing, remains as it has been throughout April and May.  If the situation changes in anyway, parents will be contacted directly by school, not the local authority.  There are currently no plans to bring any additional groups or individual pupils into school.

Please see the link below, to read a letter from Steve Reddy, director of children’s services.

Letter to parents/carers from Steve Reddy

  • Half-term

    Fri 22 May 2020

Lots of praise goes out from staff at CAS to all our students who have been working hard on the work packs we delivered and trying out some of the many work and fun activity ideas on our website and Twitter at home. We are getting so many likes and lovely comments. Well done to our students and thank you to their families! It’s especially fun to see your work and photos when you send them to us.

For the foreseeable future, there will be no change to arrangements for working from home, staying safe and well. When the situation is safe and plans do begin to change, parents and carers will hear directly from school.

Make sure you look out for some extra wellness information and links for over the holiday on our Homework and Activities section of the website Students Page and on our Twitter. New activities and work will be posted from 1/6/20.

Stay safe and well and enjoy a peaceful holiday.

  • Update

As you will be aware, the social distancing measures put in place by the UK Government, to manage the Covid-19 emergency, are continuing for the foreseeable future. Everyone who is able to do so is required to:

Staff regularly update the school Twitter feed and the Students Page of the website with a wide variety of ideas for work and other fun activities. We have been thrilled to receive tweets of some of the work and activities our pupils have been enjoying and lots of likes! Please make sure you keep checking in, to see what’s been updated. New work packs are being delivered to pupils’ homes, by staff, on a year by year basis and welfare calls are continuing. The work is optional but is a positive way to use your time. Packs include some mindfulness activities which you may find interesting and helpful.

Parents and carers should ensure they read advice from CEOPS regarding E-Safety, at a time when we are all online so much more than usual. Please also look out for update texts from school. We will keep you informed as and when we learn of any new initiatives.

Thank you for your help and support. Stay safe and well in these challenging times.
