Many thanks to all members of our school community who helped to make our recent Ofsted inspection a happy and positive experience. The inspectors were impressed by our wonderful pupils and were grateful for the welcome they received.
Childwall Abbey School will welcome Ofsted inspectors on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd July. We welcome this opportunity to show them how wonderful our pupils are.
Polite reminder. As Childwall Abbey School is a polling station, we will be closed to all pupils on Thursday 4th July 2024, for voting in the General Election. School will be open as normal on Friday 5th July. Thank you.
We were delighted to welcome home our Key Stage 4 and 5 pupils and staff last Friday, from a very successful residential experience at Kingswood Colomendy. Everyone had given of their best efforts in a challenging and fun experience. Well done to all!
Our Key stage 4 and 5 pupils are off to Kingswood Colomendy, Loggerheads, near Mold, from Monday 24th June to Friday 28th June. They are taking part in an amazing residential experience. This will contribute to their Duke of Edinburgh Award accreditation. More importantly, the fun and challenging activities, led by Kingswood’s experienced staff, will encourage all our pupils to develop their resilience, teamwork and social skills in a beautiful countryside setting.
Well done to everyone for rising to this challenge and many thanks to the C.A.S. staff team who are supporting our pupils.
We hope everyone has a lovely time.
The May Half Term Eat-to-Meet programme starts on Monday 27th May and there are lots of great activities happening over the school holidays. Children and young people, from reception to age 16, who are eligible for benefits related free school meals, will be able to access hundreds of activities throughout the half term holidays including specific provision available for children with SEND or additional needs, at no cost.
We wish all our pupils, their parents and carers and all members of the wider Childwall Abbey School community a very happy and peaceful holiday. We will welcome pupils back to school at the usual time on 15th April 2024. Please see the link for our End of Term newsletter and important information.
This year's Children’s Mental Health Week theme is 'My Voice Matters'
During Children’s Mental Health Week we want all children and young people, whoever they are, and wherever they are in the world, to be able to say – and believe - “My Voice Matters”.
My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves.
When we feel empowered, this can have a positive impact on our wellbeing. Children and young people who feel that their voices are heard and can make a difference have a greater sense of community and self-esteem. This year, we want children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to be empowered to work together to create a positive change for their mental health and wellbeing.
